Gefunden habe ich aber trotzdem etwas.
Die Strukturen von Bäumen, teilweise hunderte bis sogar tausende von Jahren alt, bilden eine faszinierende Welt an Formen und Gebilden, in denen man sich verlieren kann und nicht selten auch glaubt, Wesen oder Gesichter darin zu erkennen.
Mit den bearbeiteten Fotografien versuche ich, die Schönheit dieser gewachsenen Formen noch stärker zu betonen und für alle sichtbar zu machen. Den Bäumen ein Gesicht zu geben und aufzurufen, sie zu beschützen und zu bewahren, besonders dort, wo sie dem Menschen immer mehr zum Opfer fallen.

But I found something anyway.
The structures of trees, partial hundreds to even thousands of years old, form a fascinating world of shapes and structures, where you can lose yourself and you often think you recognize beings or faces in it.
With the edited photographs, I want to try to emphasize the beauty of these grown forms even more and to make it visible to all. Giving the trees a face and appeal to protect and preserve them, especially where they fall victim to mankind more and more.

Mit meinen Bildern will ich den Betrachter begeistern und in faszinierende Welten eintauchen lassen, die eine Schönheit in Form und Farbe gleichermaßen in sich bergen.
Die Natur selbst bietet mir dazu die besten Motive. Besonders Bäume im sterbenden, bereits toten oder auch nur im verwachsenen Zustand bilden interessante und teilweise auch bizarre Auswüchse. In den Strukturen verstecken sich oft wunderliche Gesichter und Wesen, die sich mit etwas Fantasie entdecken lassen.
Seit 2009 bin ich immer wieder auf der Suche nach diesen verborgenen Motiven.
Seit 2017 setze ich meine Bilder verstärkt in Szene, um meine Sicht auf diese Fabelwelt einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. So stellte ich z.B. 2020 auf der PhotoMünchen, 2022 im Sardenhaus im Münchner Westpark, aber auch in Privaträumen oder Firmenumgebung bereits aus.
Es ist mir ein Anliegen, den Bäumen ein Gesicht zu geben – als ein Appell, diese zu bewahren und zu schützen.
Meine Motive finde ich bei verschiedensten Gelegenheiten, bei denen ich auf Bäume treffe, z.B. auf Wanderreisen oder Fahrradtouren durch die Wälder in Deutschland und auf der ganzen Welt. Eine Kamera und ein kleines Ausrüstungspaket, darunter Stativ, Dämpfungsschirm und Aufhelllicht habe ich dabei immer im Gepäck. Und natürlich einen offenen Blick für interessante Strukturen in Bäumen, hinter denen sich ein Gesicht oder eine Gestalt verbergen könnte.
In unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln, Kameraeinstellungen und Beleuchtungen nehme ich das Motiv auf, um das, was ich in der Struktur sehe, am besten herauszubringen.
Diese Bilder werte ich am Computer aus und achte im Besonderen auf Motivauswahl, Bildausschnitt, Schärfe und Belichtung bevor ich die Bilder digital bearbeite. Dabei hebe ich lediglich meine Sicht des Motivs farblich stärker hervor, ohne dessen natürliche Struktur zu verändern.
With my pictures I want to inspire the viewer and immerse him in fascinating worlds that hold a beauty in form and color alike.
Nature itself offers me the best motifs for this. Especially trees in the dying, already dead or even just in the overgrown state form interesting and sometimes bizarre outgrowths. In the structures often hide whimsical faces and creatures that can be discovered with a little imagination.
Since 2009, I am always on the search for these hidden motifs.
Since 2017, I increasingly stage my pictures to make my view of this fabulous world accessible to a wider public. For example, I exhibited in 2020 at PhotoMunich, 2022 in the Sardenhaus in Munich’s Westpark, but also in private rooms or corporate environments already.

I find my motifs on various occasions when I come across trees, for example, on hiking trips or bicycle tours through the forests in Germany and around the world. A camera and a small equipment package, including tripod, damping umbrella and fill light I always have in my luggage. And of course an open eye for interesting structures in trees, behind which a face or a figure could be hiding.
I shoot the subject in different angles, camera settings and lighting to best bring out what I see in the structure.
I evaluate these images on the computer, paying particular attention to subject selection, framing, sharpness, and exposure before I digitally process the images. In doing so, I only emphasize my view of the subject in color more strongly, without changing its natural structure.
